We’re an organization supported by volunteers. Over the last few years, those volunteers have been harder to recruit, particularly our Ham Radio Communication volunteers. As some of you know, we were right on the edge of not running HDT last year because of this. This year we were already working through new staff changes to the County and National Forest Service, additional requirements, and added complexity for the event. Unlike the majority of our participants, our volunteers are in the most vulnerable age of the population for COVID-19. For these reasons, we’re playing it safe and cancelling the event.
Please take precautions over the next few weeks. We’re hoping everyone remains safe and healthy.
